A Nationally Governed Barbering Curriculum for Licensed Schools

The Barbers Illustrated Barbering Education System is a comprehensive, professionally governed barbering curriculum developed for licensed barber schools seeking instructional consistency, regulatory alignment, and long-term stability.

Published and maintained by Barbers Illustrated Media LLC, the system provides structured theory instruction, assessments, instructor guidance, and compliance oversight within a nationally scalable framework.

What is the Barbers Illustrated Barbering Education System?

The Barbers Illustrated Barbering Education System is a complete curriculum and assessment framework for barber schools. It includes a 30-chapter Student Theory Textbook, standardized chapter tests, secure instructor-only answer keys, and supporting academic documentation designed to strengthen instruction and support State Board preparation.

Who is the system designed for?

The system is designed for:

  • Licensed barber schools

  • Program directors

  • Barbering instructors

It is ideal for institutions seeking professional-grade instructional and assessment materials that integrate seamlessly into existing programs.

What materials are included?

Licensed schools receive access to:

  • Student Theory Textbook (30 Chapters)

  • Student Chapter Tests (Chapters 1–30)

  • Instructor Answer Keys (Chapters 1–30)

  • Instructor Manual and implementation guidance

  • Practical skills checklists

  • State Board preparation materials

  • Compliance bulletins and update notices (as issued)

All materials are delivered digitally through a secure access system.

How is the system licensed?

The curriculum is licensed annually to institutions under a non-exclusive school license.

Standard licensing structure:

  • $2,000 per year for up to 40 students

  • $40 per additional student per year beyond 40

Licenses are issued to the school, not to individual students.

How do schools access the materials?

Schools are provided with a private, restricted digital folder shared only with authorized administrators and instructors. Access remains active for the duration of the license term.

Instructor-only materials are clearly separated and must not be accessible to students.

Can the materials be uploaded to our LMS?

Yes. Schools may upload student-facing materials to their internal Learning Management Systems (LMS), provided access is restricted to enrolled students and instructors in accordance with the license agreement.

Instructor answer keys must remain restricted to faculty only.

Can we print the materials?

Yes. Schools may print materials for instructional use within their program. Printed copies may not be shared outside the institution or used beyond the active license term.

Are updates included?

Yes. During an active license term, schools receive:

  • Annual minor updates

  • Compliance bulletins or clarifications (as issued)

Major edition upgrades are communicated in advance and offered separately.

How do renewals work?

Licenses are renewed annually. Schools are contacted 60–90 days prior to expiration to confirm enrollment counts and prepare renewal invoicing. Continued access is maintained upon renewal.

What happens if we do not renew?

If a license is not renewed:

  • Digital access is revoked

  • Schools must cease using all licensed materials

  • Printed or downloaded copies may no longer be used for instruction

Who owns the curriculum?

All curriculum materials remain the intellectual property of Barbers Illustrated Media LLC. The license grants usage rights only; ownership is not transferred.

Is the system aligned with State Board requirements?

The system is designed to support commonly tested State Board subject areas and both written and practical examination preparation.

Schools remain responsible for ensuring alignment with their specific state regulatory requirements. State-specific variations may be addressed through instructor guidance and compliance addendums.
